Today a short piece from Langston Hughes.  This was a new piece for me, most of what I knew from Hughes were longer more complex pieces and I have a bias towards short powerful and pointed pieces and that’s what we have today, enjoy ~ ZD Blue

Dreams

By Langston Hughes

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
