The reality of the situation is this, if we are to see a greener more sustainable future, then we are going to have to not only change our behavior, but teach our kids better than we were taught. Now, I’m not talking about full on hippy indoctrination, not even sure if I could handle that myself. However, I think it’s important that kids have an understanding of what sustainability is and how their actions impact the environment. The state of Oregon has done a great job of putting together a straightforward easy to understand page for schools with some basics and a quiz, it’s a great start and would be a great resource for kids and elementary school teachers anywhere.
